AKINTUNJI (Akin) is the CEO of Kronikla & Associates (Communications Consultants), and he is the Managing Partner of Akin Fatunke & Co (Chartered Accountants).
He joined Mobil Oil Nigeria in 1988 and has extensive experience in Audit, Treasurers, Controllers, Planning and Real Estate & Facilities of the downstream segment of ExxonMobil business in Nigeria. In 2005, Akin was appointed Manager, Public & Government Affairs, a position he held until his voluntary retirement in November 2016.
Akin, a JF Kennedy (Jnr) Essay scholar, has had varied managerial exposure in Mobil’s fundamental accounting, finance, and services functions. He won the Chairman’s service excellence award and has excellent interpersonal arbitration, facilitating and communication skills.
Akin has attended numerous training programs at home and abroad, including the ExxonMobil Enterprise Leadership Program of the Kenan-Flagler Business School in Paris, France.
He is an Associate Member of the Institute of Directors (IoD), a member of the Society for Corporate Governance, Nigeria, and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and The Academy for Entrepreneurial Studies, Nigeria (AES). He had facilitated trainings at Lagos Business School and ICAN Mandatory Continuous Professional Education on Leadership, Change-Management, Leadership- Succession, Accounting, Audit, Tax, Secretarial, Consulting, HR & Expatriate Quota, Governance, Entrepreneurship, Security, Health & Environment, Risk-Management, Public, Media & Government-Relations and Negotiations.
Akin is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Volunteers Corps, Foundation for Values and Normative Change, Board of Governors Basil Schools and Foundation for Leadership and Social Development. He was born in Ibadan City, South-West of Nigeria. He is a graduate of Economics from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria, in 1981. He is married and has three children.
To Akin, excellence, loyalty on the job, respect for others, and responsibility for one’s actions are uncompromising ethos. He is an Alumnus of the Lagos Business School Advance Management Program and Past President of his AMP 22 Class set. His Class, under his leadership, won the President’s Award consecutively for two (2) years. Akin has been a regular commentator on electronic media and successfully served as pioneer host of ICAN-On-Air Public and educational series and as President, Baptist Academy Old Students Association
